My compositions are studies of light and color, emphasizing the relationship between the two. With each subject, I search for understanding and recreate the story that is speaking to me. My pieces vary from figurative, still-life, and landscape; each one telling its own unique narrative. I practice the techniques developed by the old masters in oil painting, working directly from life as much as possible. Striving for elegant beauty with vibrant depth and rich tonality, I work in layers of thin oil glazes matched with opaque lights. Each day I look forward to every new challenge as I continue to grow and evolve as an Artist.
